Seniors, the next step in your college preparation is to file the FAFSA, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The FAFSA is your gateway to grants, work-study, student loans, and many scholarships. At our FAFSA Completion Events you can set up your StudentAid.Gov account on Dec. 2 and fill out the FAFSA on Dec. 9. Contact Ms. Regan with questions!

Sign-ups for the Dec. 14th ACT Test at Wasatch High School are full. SSHS counselors & administrators will be cooking a free hot breakfast for all testers at 6:30 am on the 14th and the bus will leave at 7:15 am for WHS. ACT Prep classes will be held on 12/5 and 12/9 - 12/12 from 7:15 to 8:05am in the Media Center. Students who attend 4 of the 5 ACT Prep classes and take the test will be reimbursed the $69 test fee! #WeAreSouthSummit#ACTPartyBus

The Wasatch Back Marching Band, combined of South Summit, Wasatch and Park City band students, has already marched the streets of Park City and Taylorsville. Trayvn switched out his green and white for red white and blue this summer. He competed with Team USA in the Pan Am Championships in the Dominican Republic. Proving that he's at the top of his game, he brought home gold in both Greco and freestyle. Team USA won both team trophies as well. #WeAreSouthSummit #TeamUSAWrestling

Ladies and Gentlemen: the NUES Teacher of the Year! South Summit High School’s Jolene Christensen was recently named as Teacher of the Year for the Northeastern Utah Educational Services (NUES) region. Christensen teaches Agriculture Science, Environmental Science, Plant and Soil Science and Floriculture and Greenhouse Management. You may know her from the Greenhouse. She's the one who tends so carefully to the beautiful summer flowers you see for sale now and the gorgeous poinsettias in the winter. A fun way to end the year for these Monday Mentors-bowling! Thanks to our school social workers who manage this program throughout the year to create a connection and a safe space of belonging for students in both SSMS and SSHS. We have wonderful community partners that help provide opportunities, experiences, and possibilities for students outside of school and home.
